The PT/INR Home Testing Monitor is a small lightweight meter similar in size and function of a glucometer. However, instead of measuring glucose it measures the coagulating factor of the blood.
For your patients who have mobility issues, frequency of testing, have difficulty with veinipuncture or pediatric patients from whom a parent can perform a capillary puncture test (requiring less blood), CardioLink's PT/INR home monitoring service may be a solution.
CardioLink works with your patients and their insurance company to provide a meter and the required supplies. CardioLink also provides in-service training to the patients on the use of the meter to facilitate obtaining a correct reading.
Once a CardioLink technician obtains a reading from a patient, a report is sent containing the patient demographics and test results. If a reading is out of range a technician will contact you in accordance with your guidelines. A clear and concise report containing your patient's demographic information current, and prior PT/INR readings will be forwarded to your office.
