HOLTER MONITORING

Holter Monitoring

CardioLink Corporation provides 24-hour continuous recordings of two or three channels of EKG data. This enables the physician to see every single heartbeat from the previous 24 hours. Our Holter Monitors have event buttons on them for the patient to use when they are experiencing symptoms. The event button places a marker on the EKG data to aid in correlating waveforms to symptoms on the patient's report.

The physician receives a complete analysis of the patient's cardiac activity during the 24 hour period the monitor is worn. This report includes run length summaries, waveform analysis, breakdown, ST analysis and selected strips from the recording. The complete "full disclosure" is available upon request. CardioLink supplies the Holter Monitors with a blank tape enclosed, prep packs, instructional materials and hook-up supplies at no cost to you or your facility.

Our Cardiac Technicians scan all of our incoming Holter tapes and generate reports in a quick and timely fashion. Verbal reports are provided immediately to the physician on all abnormal episodes via phone/fax. (E-mail requests can be made). CardioLink will scan your Holter tapes sent to us provided they are pre-approved via phone. Our analysis system is compatible with a variety of different recorders.

CardioLink offers a variety of different ways to receive a Holter. We perform hook-ups at a local office in Levittown, NY. If this is an unreasonable distance or the patient is homebound we will either send a cardiac technician to the home to do the hook-up or mail the Holter monitor to the patient. When we provide Holters by mail, we include complete detailed instructions on how to do the hook-up. We also provide a 24-hour toll free number where a cardiac technician is available to assist with the hook-up. CardioLink will assist Physicians' Offices to make sure that the patient is hooked up in a timely fashion.

All patients are requested to complete a diary of activity during the 24-hour scan. The diary is then entered into our computers and correlated with the patient's waveforms. This helps the Physician to understand exactly when the patient was feeling/experiencing symptoms.
